We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager - Logistics to drive the efficiency and effectiveness of our secondary logistics operations. This senior, onsite role is critical for ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and safe delivery of cement to our customers, directly impacting our growth and operational excellence.
Plan, execute, and control secondary logistics operations for timely cement delivery.
Coordinate seamlessly with transporters, distributors, depots, and sales teams for smooth dispatches.
Optimize route planning and truck utilization to aggressively reduce logistics costs.
Monitor daily dispatch, transit times, and delivery performance with precision.
Lead transporter negotiations, rate finalization, and performance evaluations.
Ensure stringent compliance with statutory, safety, and company logistics policies.
Manage all critical logistics documentation: invoices, e-way bills, PODs, and freight bills.
Proactively resolve delivery-related complaints and operational bottlenecks.
Liaise with warehouse teams for effective inventory planning and stock movement.
Prepare detailed MIS reports on logistics cost, delivery efficiency, and transporter performance.
6-10 years of progressive experience in logistics, specifically within the Cement or Building Materials industry.
Graduate or Post Graduate in Logistics / Supply Chain Management.
Demonstrated expertise in secondary logistics planning, execution, and transportation/fleet management.
Proven ability in cost optimization, freight negotiation, and distribution coordination.
Solid understanding of statutory and compliance requirements in logistics.
Strong coordination, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and accountability.
Ability to thrive under pressure and consistently meet demanding deadlines.
Proven experience in team supervision and guidance.
