About the role:
As the Medical Licensing & Credentialing Specialist at Accompany Health, you will
work under the supervision of the Practice Manager, completing the licensing and
credentialing functions of all AH medical personnel.
In this role, you will combine people leadership, operational excellence, and deep
licensing and credentialing subject matter expertise. Your organization, ability to thrive
in a fast-paced environment and keen problem solving skills will ensure your success.
Desired skills and experience:
● Required
Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of experience in relevant field
Experience working with a variety of provider types,MD/DO/PA/NP/Behavioral Health/Nurses
1+ year of of full-time experience in medical licensing, medical regulations or credentialing
Strong operational acumen and experience managing high-complexity
workflows
Responsibilities will include:
● Core Licensing Responsibilities
Prepare and submit state medical license applications and renewals
Track expiration dates for licenses, DEA (prescribing) registrations, CSR
(controlled substances) permits, board certifications, and malpractice
insurance
Maintain provider licensing records and documentation
Coordinate with state medical boards and regulatory agencies
Ensure providers meet state and federal compliance requirements
Research licensing requirements for new states or specialties
● Credential Responsibilities
Complete provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications
Maintain CAQH profiles and attestations
Verify provider qualifications, education, training, work history and
references
Conduct primary source verification for licenses, certifications and
sanctions
Monitor exclusion databases such as OIG and SAM
● Payer Enrollment Duties
Enroll providers with Medicare, Medicaid and managed care
organizations
Track payer application status and follow up on pending enrollments
Update payer records for demographic or practices changes
Resolve enrollment delays and denials
● Compliance & Auditing
Maintain compliance with NCQA, CMS, Joint Commission, and state
requirements
Ensure credentialing files are complete and audit friendly
Develop or maintain credentialing policies and SOPs
Review applications and other required confidential documents for
completeness and accuracy
