We're looking for a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer who is past the 'figuring out the tools' stage and ready to own services end-to-end. You will be embedded in a POD supporting one or more JioMedia products, shipping infrastructure changes through code, keeping production healthy, and sharpening the CI/CD and observability practices around you. You will work alongside senior engineers who will back you up on the harder calls, but you are expected to drive your work, not wait to be driven.
What You'll Do
• Own day-to-day operations for services in your POD — deployments, scaling, on-call, capacity and cost
• Build and maintain Terraform modules, Helm charts and Argo CD workflows for your POD's services
• Write and evolve Azure DevOps pipelines — test gates, artifact publishing, environment promotion, progressive rollouts
• Participate in on-call rotation, respond to incidents, and write useful postmortems
• Instrument services in New Relic and Prometheus — dashboards, SLOs, actionable alerts
• Harden security posture in your scope — IAM, secrets, network policies, workload identity
• Use AI tools (Claude and similar) as a daily collaborator — for code review, runbook drafting, RCA assistance and documentation
• Contribute to internal platform work — reusable modules, shared pipelines, standardization across products
• Support junior engineers and vendor team members — review their PRs, pair on tricky debugging
What You Bring
• 4–6 years of DevOps / SRE / Platform Engineering experience, with production ownership (not just POC work)
• Strong hands-on Kubernetes — Deployments, Services, Ingress, HPA, RBAC; comfortable debugging podlevel and cluster-level issues
• Working fluency in GCP (preferred) or AWS/Azure — IAM, networking, managed databases, load balancing
• Solid Terraform — you can write, refactor and review modules with confidence
• Hands-on CI/CD — Azure DevOps Pipelines preferred, or equivalent (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
• Scripting or programming in Python, Go or Bash — strong enough to automate real operational work
• Comfortable with Linux, networking fundamentals (DNS, TLS, HTTP/2, load balancing) and systems troubleshooting
• Observability experience with New Relic, Prometheus/Grafana or similar — dashboards and alerts you've actually owned
• Clear written communication — PR descriptions, design notes, runbooks
• A growth mindset — you ask questions, take feedback, and level up fast
Nice to Have
• Exposure to OTT / streaming infra — CDN, video pipelines, high-throughput APIs
• Experience with service mesh (Istio / Anthos), Argo CD or progressive delivery tooling
• Familiarity with security tooling — WAF, DLP, SAST/DAST, supply chain security
• Hands-on use of LLMs in engineering workflows — Claude Code, MCP servers, agentic automations
• Certifications — CKA, GCP Associate/Professional Cloud Engineer, Terraform Associate
