About the Role
We are looking for a highly creative and commercially minded Visual Merchandiser to lead the in-store visual identity and storytelling across our retail network.
In this role, you will be the storyteller behind our retail spacestranslating brand DNA, product narratives, and seasonal collections into immersive, conversion-driving store experiences. You will own the visual merchandising lifecycle end-to-end, from concept and zoning to execution and post-launch optimization, working closely with Buying, Design, Retail Operations, and Store Teams to bring our store concepts to life across formats.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End VM Strategy & Execution
Conceptualize and execute visual merchandising plans across all storesflagship, mall, and high-street formats
Own the full VM lifecycle from store-launch planograms to seasonal refreshes and BAU execution
Build a consistent, repeatable in-store playbook across the retail network
Store Zoning & Space Planning
Develop zone-wise layouts, fixture plans, and adjacency strategies that drive footfall flow, dwell time, and basket size
Define product placement logic by hero category, price tier, color story, and tactile experience
Optimize space productivity (sales per sq. ft.) through data-led merchandising decisions
Trend, Aesthetic & Global Benchmarking
Track and benchmark visual standards of leading global home and lifestyle retailers
Translate global retail design directions into relevant, differentiated in-store experiences
Identify opportunities in fixture innovation, lighting, signage, and tactile display formats
Visual Storytelling & Display Development
Design seasonal windows, focal walls, and product vignettes that communicate product story and lifestyle context
Build cohesive color stories and styling narratives across collections
Curate props, accessories, and styling layers to elevate perceived quality and encourage tactile engagement
Planograms, Guidelines & Documentation
Create detailed VM guidelines, planograms, and store-launch playbooks with clear execution standards
Document fixture specs, signage briefs, and lighting plans that are production-ready and supplier/store-team-ready
Maintain a VM toolkittemplates, swatches, display library, and prop bank
Signage, Graphics & POS Communication
Develop in-store communicationcategory signage, product story cards, price tickets, way-finding, and storytelling collateral
Ensure visual consistency between physical retail, packaging, and brand identity
Brief and review work from graphic designers, signage vendors, and print partners
Store Launches & Rollouts
Lead VM execution for new store openings across priority locations
Travel to stores for pre-opening setup, training of in-store teams, and post-launch audits
Build VM training modules and SOPs for store managers and floor staff
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Buying and Planning to align VM with launch calendars, OTB, and category priorities
Work with Retail Operations and Store Teams to ensure flawless execution and consistency across the network
Collaborate with Design and Marketing to ensure visual continuity from product to store to campaign
Qualifications
Experience
5+ years of experience in visual merchandising
Experience in home textiles, lifestyle, or premium retail categories preferred
Hands-on experience executing VM across multiple store formats (flagship, mall, high-street)
Technical Expertise
Strong understanding of retail space planning, fixture systems, lighting, and signage standards
Working knowledge of fabric handling and tactile display techniques
Familiarity with retail KPIssales per sq. ft., conversion, ATV, ADSand how VM influences them
Design Proficiency
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and SketchUp / AutoCAD (or equivalent space planning tools)
Ability to translate creative concepts into technically accurate planograms and execution-ready guidelines
Portfolio
Strong portfolio showcasing store launches, window concepts, planograms, and seasonal VM stories
Demonstrated ability to build cohesive, brand-aligned visual narratives across multiple stores
