Job Description – EHS Officer
Purpose
Ensure a safe and compliant work environment by implementing EHS practices, minimizing risks, and ensuring adherence to statutory and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
EHS Implementation: Enforce safe work practices as per company policies and legal standards
Hazard Management: Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions
Site Monitoring: Conduct regular inspections and report unsafe acts/conditions
PPE Compliance: Ensure proper use of PPE across all personnel
Training & Awareness: Conduct EHS induction, Toolbox Talks, mock drills, and safety training
Legal Compliance: Ensure adherence to Building and Other Construction Workers Act (BOCW) and other statutory requirements
Equipment Safety: Inspect fire extinguishers, tools, lifting equipment, and machinery
Third-Party Coordination: Ensure inspections and certifications are completed on time
Health & Welfare: Organize medical camps and monitor labor camp safety & hygiene
Incident Management: Report incidents, raise NCRs, and track corrective actions
Documentation: Maintain EHS records, permits, checklists, and compliance trackers

Qualifications & Skills
Diploma/Degree in Safety/Environment or related field
Knowledge of construction safety and statutory compliance
Strong inspection, reporting, and training skills
Good communication and stakeholder coordination
