Role Purpose
Somany Ceramics is seeking an innovative and business-focused AI Engineer to join its Information Technology team in Noida. The role is responsible for identifying, designing, developing, and deploying AI-powered solutions that enhance operational efficiency, decision-making, and employee productivity across business functions. Working closely with stakeholders, the AI Engineer will leverage Generative AI, Machine Learning, Automation, and Enterprise Technologies to solve real-world business challenges and deliver measurable business value.
The position emphasizes practical AI implementation, solution engineering, and enterprise adoption rather than foundational model research or model training from scratch.
Key Responsibilities
AI Solution Development & Implementation
Collaborate with business stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Operations, and HR to identify opportunities for AI-driven transformation.
Analyze business processes, map workflows, and translate operational challenges into scalable AI and automation solutions.
Design, develop, test, and deploy AI-powered applications, copilots, chatbots, knowledge assistants, and workflow automation solutions.
Build and maintain AI-enabled tools using approved AI platforms, APIs, enterprise data sources, and cloud services.
Generative AI & Enterprise AI Integration
Implement Generative AI (GenAI), Large Language Model (LLM), and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions for enterprise use cases.
Develop and optimize prompts, agent workflows, embeddings, vector search mechanisms, and knowledge retrieval systems.
Integrate AI capabilities with SAP S/4HANA, enterprise applications, internal portals, and business systems through APIs and middleware.
Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend suitable tools, frameworks, and platforms for business adoption.
Business Process Automation
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks, manual reporting, document processing, and knowledge management activities.
Develop intelligent workflows using AI, automation platforms, and low-code/no-code technologies where appropriate.
Measure and track productivity gains, efficiency improvements, and business impact generated through implemented solutions.
Data, Governance & Quality
Ensure AI solutions comply with organizational security, governance, privacy, and data management standards.
Monitor solution performance, reliability, accuracy, and user adoption.
Support model evaluation, prompt testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Stakeholder Collaboration & User Enablement
Work closely with business users to gather requirements, conduct workshops, and validate solution outcomes.
Prepare technical documentation, user manuals, knowledge articles, and implementation guides.
Conduct user training and support change management activities to drive adoption of AI solutions.
Partner with IT teams, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders throughout the solution lifecycle.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Stay updated on advancements in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, Agentic AI, and enterprise automation technologies.
Contribute innovative ideas and proof-of-concepts (POCs) that support Somany's digital transformation initiatives.
Participate in AI governance, experimentation, and best-practice development across the organization.
