Sales Accounting Manager
The Sales Accounting Manager is responsible for managing customer accounting, receivables, sales accounting operations, channel financing processes, and statutory compliance related to sales transactions. The role ensures accurate accounting, timely collections, effective credit control, customer account reconciliation, and compliance with GST, TDS, and other applicable regulations.
Working closely with Sales, Finance, Credit Control, Commercial, and Distribution teams, the incumbent will drive financial discipline, improve working capital efficiency, and support business growth through effective management of customer accounts and sales-related financial processes.
Monitor and manage customer outstanding balances to ensure healthy receivable cycles and minimize overdue accounts.
Conduct regular customer account reconciliations and obtain balance confirmations as per organizational policies.
Review and facilitate customer order clearance based on credit limits, outstanding positions, and risk parameters.
Coordinate with Sales and Commercial teams to resolve disputes impacting collections and order processing.
Monitor customer credit exposure and escalate potential risks proactively.
Track due payments and ensure timely collection follow-ups with customers and channel partners.
Prepare and review customer ageing reports, collection forecasts, and overdue analysis.
Drive initiatives to improve Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and overall working capital performance.
Support management with actionable insights on collection trends and receivable risks.
Manage accounting and reconciliation of sales transactions, customer incentives, rebates, discounts, and overriding commissions.
Ensure accurate accounting treatment of sales schemes, promotional programs, and dealer incentives.
Validate and process scheme disbursements in compliance with applicable GST and Income Tax regulations.
Monitor customer claims, adjustments, and settlement processes.
Review and process GST Debit Notes, Credit Notes, and related accounting entries.
Ensure compliance with GST provisions applicable to sales transactions, incentives, rebates, and commercial arrangements.
Manage TDS accounting, reconciliation, and related compliance requirements.
Reconcile customer-related tax records with Form 26AS and other statutory records.
Support internal and external audits related to sales accounting and taxation.
Coordinate and manage channel financing programs with banks, financial institutions, distributors, and business teams.
Monitor utilization, outstanding positions, and compliance requirements related to channel financing arrangements.
Support resolution of financing-related discrepancies and operational issues.
Utilize SAP FI and SAP SD modules for customer accounting, receivable management, reconciliation, reporting, and transaction monitoring.
Ensure accuracy of accounting records and data integrity within ERP systems.
Identify opportunities for process automation, controls enhancement, and operational efficiency improvements.
Develop and maintain MIS reports, dashboards, and performance metrics related to receivables and collections.
Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Commercial, Taxation, Audit, and Operations teams to ensure smooth execution of business processes.
Act as a key point of contact for customer account-related financial matters.
Support management decision-making through timely reporting and financial analysis.

B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA Inter / CMA Inter or equivalent qualification.
