Senior Designer – Tiles & Surfaces
The Senior Designer – Tiles & Surfaces is responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and commercializing innovative surface collections that strengthen the brand's market position and customer appeal. The role combines creative design excellence, trend forecasting, product merchandising, and market insights to create differentiated tile and surface solutions aligned with consumer preferences, manufacturing capabilities, and business objectives.
Working closely with Product Development, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, and Merchandising teams, the incumbent will drive the end-to-end design lifecycle from concept creation to successful market launch.
Develop innovative tile and surface design concepts that balance aesthetics, functionality, brand positioning, and commercial viability.
Define creative directions for new collections, formats, finishes, textures, patterns, and application categories.
Create compelling mood boards, design themes, color palettes, material stories, and visual narratives to communicate collection concepts.
Lead concept-driven innovation initiatives that create distinctive and differentiated product offerings.
Ensure all designs align with evolving market trends, customer preferences, and brand identity.
Monitor global trends in architecture, interior design, lifestyle, materials, colors, textures, and surface technologies.
Conduct competitive benchmarking and identify emerging design opportunities within domestic and international markets.
Analyze consumer behavior, design preferences, and category gaps to develop commercially successful collections.
Translate international design inspirations into market-relevant and manufacturable products.
Collaborate with Product Management and Merchandising teams to define collection architecture and product positioning.
Contribute to portfolio planning, collection segmentation, pricing strategy inputs, and product differentiation initiatives.
Ensure collections address target customer needs while supporting overall business growth objectives.
Recommend product enhancements based on market feedback, sales performance, and trend evolution.
Convert approved concepts into production-ready designs using industry-standard design and visualization tools.
Work closely with manufacturing, R&D, and technical teams to ensure design feasibility and production readiness.
Review samples, prototypes, textures, finishes, and color variations to ensure design integrity throughout development.
Maintain consistency in design language while encouraging innovation across collections.
Partner with Marketing, Sales, Product Development, Manufacturing, and external agencies to ensure successful product launches.
Present concepts, prototypes, and collection strategies to leadership and stakeholders with clarity and conviction.
Incorporate stakeholder feedback while preserving design intent and brand consistency.
Support marketing initiatives through design storytelling, product presentations, and launch collateral inputs.
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
Track project milestones from ideation through commercialization.
Maintain organized design documentation, trend repositories, and concept libraries.
Continuously explore new materials, technologies, finishes, and design methodologies to enhance innovation capabilities.
