We are seeking a skilled QA Manual Tester with over 5 years of hands-on experience to join our team at Tart Labs. As a Manual Tester in our organization, you will ensure the stability, usability, and overall quality of our web and mobile applications. You will collaborate closely with developers, designers, project managers, and QA leads to validate features, identify defects, write detailed test cases, and ensure the delivery of reliable, high-quality products for our clients.
Test web, mobile, and API-based applications to ensure they meet functional, performance, and usability standards.
Identify defects & inconsistencies, log them clearly, and follow through to resolution with the development team.
Derive structured test scenarios, test cases, and test data from user stories, PRDs, and client requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and smooth release cycles.
Perform smoke, sanity, regression, re-testing, cross-browser, cross-device, and UAT activities as needed.
Develop, maintain, and continuously improve test documentation including test cases, test plans, checklists, and test reports.
Execute manual testing across iOS, Android, responsive web, and commonly used internal tools.
Perform API testing using tools like Postman/Insomnia, validating request/response workflows and error handling.
Validate integrations with third-party services, payment gateways, authentication systems, and microservices.
Participate actively in sprint planning, requirement analysis, refinement, and QA sign-off processes.
Analyze logs, screenshots, and console/network traces to identify root causes and support the dev team.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, workflows, and quality gates.
Collaborate with developers to reproduce bugs and ensure fixes meet acceptance criteria.
Assist in maintaining test environments, datasets, credentials, and testing infrastructure.
Ensure releases follow commonly used QA standards and provide clear go/no-go recommendations.
Stay updated with testing trends, participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, and support internal QA initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
3+ years of proven experience as a Manual Tester.
Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience with bug-tracking and project management tools such as ZOHO, JIRA, ClickUp, and others.
Ability to write structured, clear, and comprehensive test cases, test plans, and test reports.
Hands-on experience testing web applications, mobile apps, and APIs.
Familiarity with technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs, and JSON.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
Good communication skills to articulate issues clearly to developers and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently across multiple projects.
