Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve complex operational deviations and equipment malfunctions with minimal oversight.
Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs to maintain peak furnace performance and extend asset life.
Train, mentor, and guide junior operators, fostering a culture of operational excellence and safety.
Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality standards, contributing to a secure and compliant workplace.
Accurately document operational data, maintenance logs, and process parameters for analysis and continuous improvement.
Collaborate effectively with engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to optimize processes and troubleshoot systemic issues.
7+ years of dedicated experience as a Furnace Operator in a heavy industrial setting (e.g., metals, ceramics, chemical processing).
Demonstrated mastery of complex furnace types (e.g., induction, arc, heat treat, continuous re-heat) and associated control systems.
Deep understanding of thermodynamics, combustion principles, material science, and their application in industrial furnaces.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting P&IDs, electrical schematics, and operational manuals.
A proven track record of advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving in high-pressure operational scenarios.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in an industrial environment, including lifting, standing, and working in various weather conditions.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate's degree in a relevant field preferred.
Experience with advanced HMI/SCADA programming or configuration.
