Scope Summary
The L2 Azure Cloud & DevOps Engineer will be responsible for complete administration, deployment management, cloud operations, automation, troubleshooting, platform optimization, observability engineering, database operations, CI/CD governance, production support, and cloud cost optimization activities across Azure and integrated multi-cloud platforms. The role includes operational ownership of production infrastructure, AKS platforms, networking, observability tooling, deployment governance, database operations, and implementation of continuous optimization initiatives aligned with infrastructure cost reduction targets.
Key Scope of Work
Azure Infrastructure Administration
· Manage Azure VMs, storage accounts, networking components, backups, disaster recovery configurations, and platform administration.
· Handle VM lifecycle management, patching, configuration management, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
· Manage infrastructure configurations, environment governance, and platform operational activities.
AKS Cluster Administration
· Manage AKS upgrades, node pools, ingress controllers, deployments, Helm releases, namespaces, autoscaling, and cluster troubleshooting.
· Perform AKS workload optimization, pod resource tuning, HPA governance, deployment governance, and workload stabilization.
· Implement workload-specific deployment governance and AKS operational best practices.
Azure Networking Management
· Manage VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, WAF, Application Gateway, DNS, VPN, and ExpressRoute connectivity.
· Handle network troubleshooting, traffic optimization, firewall policy administration, and secure network configurations.
Database Platform Operations
· Manage and monitor ScyllaDB, MongoDB, Redis, and Azure SQL operational environments.
· Handle database monitoring, performance tuning, replication monitoring, storage optimization, backup validation, and operational troubleshooting.
· Support database capacity optimization and operational reliability initiatives.
CDN & Edge Layer Management
· Manage Fastly CDN and JioCDN operational activities, configurations, monitoring, and cache governance.
· Handle CDN cache optimization, traffic routing validation, SSL management, and CDN troubleshooting.
· Implement CDN optimization and edge-layer cost optimization initiatives.
DevOps & CI/CD Operations
· Manage Azure DevOps pipelines, CI/CD deployments, release automation, deployment governance, and rollback support.
· Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments using Terraform/Bicep.
· Manage deployment pipelines, staging-to-production promotion governance, release checklists, and deployment approvals.
· Support Google Play and App Store compliance operational activities.
Observability, Monitoring & APM
· Manage CloudXP onboarding, monitoring configurations, centralized logging, and observability governance.
· Configure dashboards, alerts, log analytics, distributed tracing, and APM integrations.
· Manage cross-platform alerting governance across Azure, Fastly, Firebase, GCP, and integrated platforms.
· Support observability optimization and proactive monitoring improvements.
Multi-Cloud Operations
· Support GCP operational services including Cloud Run, BigQuery, Airflow, and Firebase monitoring activities.
· Handle monitoring, operational troubleshooting, and cloud optimization activities across integrated multi-cloud environments.
Security & Compliance Operations
· Perform patching, VA/PT remediation, RBAC reviews, access governance, and infrastructure security hardening.
· Support internal/external security reviews, compliance remediation, and operational security governance.
Performance Optimization & Reliability
· Optimize AKS resources, storage utilization, workloads, deployments, cluster performance, and application stability.
· Support platform scalability, workload optimization, and infrastructure stabilization initiatives.
Cloud Cost Optimization & FinOps Support
· Drive VM rightsizing, AKS optimization, storage cleanup, autoscaling implementation, idle resource cleanup, and reserved instance utilization.
· Analyze cloud billing trends, identify cost leakages, and implement actionable savings initiatives.
· Support infrastructure cost reduction programs aligned with enterprise budget optimization targets.
· Participate in FinOps governance, operational optimization reviews, and cost-saving implementation activities.
Production Change & Release Management
· Handle production deployments, rollback support, release governance, operational validation, and environment change management.
· Ensure deployment governance, release approvals, operational readiness validation, and production stability.
