The Executive – Stores is responsible for ensuring efficient store operations through effective inventory management, material handling, stock accuracy, and timely availability of materials for production and dispatch. The role supports operational continuity by maintaining inventory integrity, ensuring process compliance, and coordinating seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
Manage day-to-day store activities, including receipt, storage, issuance, and dispatch of raw materials, consumables, packing materials, spares, and finished goods.
Ensure accurate recording of all inventory transactions in the ERP/SAP system and maintain synchronization between physical and system stock.
Maintain optimum inventory levels to support uninterrupted production and dispatch operations.
Verify material receipts against purchase orders and prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) and other relevant documentation.
Ensure timely and accurate documentation for inward and outward material movement.
Maintain stock registers, issue slips, delivery challans, and inventory records in compliance with company procedures.
Conduct cycle counts, periodic stock verification, and annual physical inventory audits.
Investigate inventory variances and implement corrective actions to improve stock accuracy.
Ensure adherence to FIFO/FEFO practices and proper storage methods to minimize material loss and obsolescence.
Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Planning, Logistics, Quality, and Accounts teams to facilitate seamless material flow.
Support dispatch planning by ensuring timely material availability and accurate documentation.
Assist in resolving inventory-related issues impacting production or customer deliveries.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and warehouse organization.
Ensure compliance with safety guidelines, statutory requirements, and company policies within the store premises.
Promote safe material handling practices and optimal space utilization.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and stock movement reports for management review.
Monitor inventory trends and recommend actions for stock optimization and process improvements.
Participate in warehouse efficiency initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
Graduate or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Commerce, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
Professional certification in Warehouse Management, Inventory Management, SAP MM, or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
2–6 years of relevant experience in Stores, Warehouse, or Inventory Management.
Experience in manufacturing, ceramics, tiles, building materials, FMCG, or process industries will be preferred.
Exposure to ERP/SAP-based inventory management systems is essential.
Strong understanding of inventory control principles and warehouse operations.
Knowledge of ERP/SAP (MM module) or other Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Familiarity with FIFO/FEFO methodology, stock reconciliation, and inventory auditing.
Good working knowledge of MS Excel and inventory reporting tools.
Detail-oriented professional with strong organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining inventory accuracy.
Good understanding of warehouse processes and material handling practices.
