ole Purpose
Lead and drive EHS strategy, regulatory compliance, and sustainability initiatives across plant operations by embedding a culture of safety, operational risk mitigation, and continuous improvement aligned with global and statutory standards.
Key Responsibilities
EHS Strategy & Compliance
Ensure end-to-end compliance with statutory regulations (CPCB, GPCB, PESO, DISH, Fire, and other authorities).
Develop, implement, and monitor EHS policies, processes, and systems in line with ISO 45001 and global standards.
Lead audits, inspections, and compliance reviews with corrective action tracking.
Sustainability & Environmental Initiatives
Drive sustainability programs focusing on water conservation, energy optimization, and GHG reduction.
Lead Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) compliance for plastic usage.
Safety Culture & Transformation
Implement culture-building initiatives (Gemba walks, safety committees, behavioural safety programs).
Promote proactive hazard identification and risk mitigation practices across functions.
Project & CAPEX Integration
Review CAPEX projects to ensure EHS compliance from design to execution stage.
Collaborate with design consultants for integration of safety systems in plant layouts.
Fire & Risk Management
Lead fire safety system design and compliance in coordination with external agencies (e.g., FM Global).
Implement risk mitigation strategies for operational and environmental hazards.
Systems & Process Governance
Drive implementation of safety management systems (KSMS, KEMS) and document control.
Ensure continuous improvement in EHS procedures and standards.
Role Specifications
Education: Degree/Diploma (Engineering preferred)
Experience: 10–15 years in EHS roles within manufacturing/industrial environments
Industry Preference: Ceramics/tiles/building materials
Reporting: Plant Head / Business Head
Desired Candidate Profile
Strong knowledge of environmental and safety regulations and compliance frameworks.
Proven leadership in driving safety culture transformation.
Experience in handling audits, certifications, and regulatory approvals.
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination.
